Back in the UK; The Heart of Brazil Exhibition at Gallery 32

We left a cold, winter Rio de Janeiro to return to a colder, summer(!) London. In Brazil we gave interviews to several newspapers, including O Liberal in Belém, Correio Brazilense in Brasilia and O Globo. Full-page articles have already been published in the first two, with O Globo still to go. We also gave a 20-minute radio interview on Radio National Amazonas.Back in the UK, we are very busy preparing for the exhibition, which will open on 9th October at Gallery 32, next door to the Brazilian Embassy on Green Street, London W1K 7AT. Contact the Embassy for opening times on 020 7399 9282. While the exhibition is on, we (Sue and Patrick) will be available by prior arrangement to talk to groups about the expedition and our work; we are especially interested in talking to school, college and university groups. These talks can be quite informal, and can be arranged at short notice by phoning the Embassy on the number above, or Sue and Patrick on 020 8541 3024.Sue will be giving a talk at the Southern region of the Royal Geographical Society at Camford School, Dorset on the 27th September. If you would like to attend, you need to book a place by the 19th September, by contacting Dr Brian Hoyle, 80 Thornbury Wood, Chandlers Ford, Hampshire SO53 5DQ, Tel 02380 254503.We are looking for other venues for the exhibition and for talks both here in the UK and elsewhere. We will post more information as soon as we have it. If you have suggestions for venuse for either, please contact us.
